Yesterday/Today

SOLSC DAY 12

Yesterday the sky was blue.

Today the sky is gray.

Yesterday the sun was shining.

Today it is snowing.

Yesterday 50 degree temperatures.

Today can’t even make it to 30.

Yesterday decided to go out for dinner,

Today we won’t even make it to church.

Welcome to Pennsylvania’s yo-yo weather

You guys have truly had yo-yo weather! I’m always surprised when we experience frost…whole different world on the temperate, in the main, Oregon Coast weather. Stay warm. I am going to try my hand at yesterday/today. Church might be a stretch because of daylight saving time—but that’s just me!

  2. Silly March Weather. Your format reflects the yo-yo nature!

  3. No snow for us here in Indiana, but a big change in temperature. It is so cold again! After a record breaking 70+ degree day a week ago this morning we were back at 0!

  4. Bob, you said it all! with your poem and your photo! March is so unpredictable! We have had some really bad snowstorms in March. I like the format – could be read as poetry for two voices. Nice!

Yo-yo weather for sure, as we’ve had in the Midwest. Welcome to late winter, I suppose. I love the way you crafted this poem to bounce back and forth between the weather. It reminds me of Paul Fleischman’s “Joyful Noise” – poetry for two voices…

  6. Perfect! I just kept looking out the window and shaking my head today.

  7. It sleet snowed this morning, but was warm. The sun came out this afternoon, but it was freezing. This time of year is always crazy weather wise. Glad to know it’s not just a New York thing.

  8. Oh wow, look at that snow storm! I love the format of your post and want to try it out this month. We had 60 degree days last weekend and yesterday was 21–with the weather app sharing that it felt like 10 degrees outside because of the bitter wind. Still, spring will be here soon! Even if it doesn’t look like it where you live!
