A List

This week I thought I would write a list.  Instead of explaining where the idea came from or what kind of list it is at the beginning of the post, I thought I would just present it and explain at the end.  This will give you a chance to see if you can figure out what it is and then check to see if your guess was correct.  It really is not difficult.

Here it is:

Come Back Little Sheba

East of Eden

Fahrenheit 451

Into the Woods

Kiss the Girls

Lilies of the Field

Mister Roberts

Never on Sunday

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest

Queen of Outer Space

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Singin’ in the Rain

Tom Thumb

Up the Down Staircase

Young at Heart

Zorba the Greek

So, did you figure it out?   Last week a friend of mine posted a challenge on FB.  She asked us to name a film beginning with the letter “W”.  We were not allowed to check any sources, just rely on our memory.  I thought I would take it one step further and see if I could think of a movie title beginning with each letter of the alphabet.  This is what I came up with.  Each one is an actual movie.  I did check after the fact to make sure I remembered titles correctly.  There are only 5 of these that I did not actually see.

I knew they are movie titles, but I thought you were going to say you had watched them all since stay-at-home began. Maybe you’ll see those few you’ve missed now?!

    • That just might give me something to do when I just feel like sitting and doing nothing. Some I might even watch again because I like them.

  2. Nice, I think I will try but it has been quite a while since i have seen an movie 🙂 Maybe I will try with books.

  3. Good for your memory and good for me for figuring it out. Stay-at-home orders directive has been one great TV show or movie I had never seen before. I even show Hamilton which was absolutely a must-see.

    • I was tempted to sign up for Disney+ just to watch Hamilton but didn’t. I am glad I did get a chance to see it in NYC. I am hoping they will release a DVD of it.

  4. Fun list… I’ve seen a lot of those movies, too.

Impressive. Fun too. Now you have several people thinking of movies to match the letters of alphabet.

This was a good idea when you didn’t have an idea to write about. Like Lakshmi, I may try it with books. Fun idea.

  7. Great list – so many I have enjoyed, and some have seen several times (Beetlejuice, Jumangi, Willow and Singing in the Rain especially)
