Today’s Project

After several gloomy days, off and on rain today the sun is shining.  The temps will reach 60 degrees.  I need to get out of the house.

So, what should I do?  The grass isn’t ready for a cutting.  It hasn’t grown much since its cutting last week.  It is a little too soon to plant seeds in our circle at the front of our driveway.  I usually wait until the end of May to do that.

So, what to do then.  I know.  Last week I did some yard cleaning.  I picked up downed limbs, cut some sticker bushes, and trimmed some bushes.  I just threw all of these things on the patio to be dealt with at a later time.  I think today is that time to deal with these things.  It will get me outside and I will feel  like I accomplished something.  Off to work.

Here is something totally unrelated to anything in this post.

I was a sloth yesterday, reading my way through a gray, rainy day, so I know exactly how you feel! Today promises some sun, some warmth, so off for a walk I go. I planted on Sunday. Here where temps are fairly mild year ’round, planting can happen early. Maybe I’ll start my composter today, a new effort, but one I hope will bear fruit. (I could use some of your bush trimmings.) Have fun outside!

  2. Your plan sounds like a good one–getting something accomplished, getting outside in the sunshine. We have very few rainy days here and I enjoy them so much when we have them! I had to laugh at the cats’ commentary but it’s also sadly true.

    • It always feels good to get something accomplished. I admit that I am not killing myself getting things done, but just doing things as I feel the urge.

  3. Hope you have a productive day! And I love the added picture. Thanks for the smile!

Thank you for the joke. I hope your day has something surprising in store for you.

  5. It’s important to break big tasks into smaller tasks to help stretch them out.

  6. We can always count on yard work to keep us busy!

  7. I always love your humor, as you know. This time it came out quite unexpectedly at the end.
