SOLSC Day 20
Yes! Winter is finally over. Spring is here! How will you celebrate this first day of a new season?
For me there are several things I will do. First of all I will leave the house at 6:50 to go over to our township building where I will work at our local food pantry until 9:00
My job is to help stuff the bags with items for the people who will come to get them. As the people pull up, I load the bags into their cars. I can only work until 9:00 because…
At 9:00 I need to head to Harrisburg, a 45 minute ride, for our DCPASR meeting. In case you are wondering, I did get my agenda organized and sent off in plenty of time before today’s meeting.
Because we didn’t meet last month there is much we need to discuss today. The meeting will last until noon at which time the church where we meet will serve lunch. I will not stay for lunch because I don’t eat meat on Wednesday’s during Lent – a personal thing. We will probably hit Read Lobster – besides, I have a coupon.
After that we may do some shopping as long as we are in the area. I know I need to get home because leaving the house at 7:00 means I didn’t have time to comment on any slices. That has to wait until I get home.
However, before I go home there is one stop I simply must make. Rita’s Italian Ice gives out a free ice on the first day of Spring. For a buck I can and do add some frozen custard on top of the ice.
After that treat I will then head home to do some commenting. So, comments may be late today, but they are coming.
There is the last supermoon of the year tonight! I will go out and try to see it- supposed to be cloudy and rainy all day….
Hope you get lucky.
Sounds like quite a day, and you’ll be deserving of that delicious treat at the end. I could feel you’re busy day and running around in your writing.
It was quite a day but thoroughly enjoyable. The ice hit the spot.
I’m glad you are all set for your meeting! Hope that your busy day turns out to be as enjoyable as the treat at the end.
It was a good all around.
Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy! 🙂
Oh, I did! I did! I did!
It sounds like a busy but rewarding day!
It was. Got a lot done today.
Yum…Rita’s. You’ve reminded me of something the East offers that I don’t have out West. Not complaining, but I send out my heartiest, “ENJOY!”
It hit the spot at the end of the day.
You are very busy today! I think it’s great that you work at a food pantry. I hope you enjoy your Italian ice 🙂
I sure did. And we weren’t the only ones getting one.
I hope you will have a fulfilling day and still have some energy left by the end of the day.
I always have energy for ice cream. 🙂
I’m so jealous! It’s not warm enough for Rita’s here yet, but it is the thing I miss 3rd most about living in New Jersey (behind Ocean City, then Wawa!) What flavour did you go for?
For my flavor choice you will have to tune in tomorrow. 🙂
Wow – what a busy, busy day! Great way to end it though!
It did bring a nice close to the day.
Coupons for Red Lobster always make for a good day!
Anything that saves me even a little bit of money is good for me.
