Day 8 It’s Been A Week

SOLSC Day 8

It all began last Friday,

We all somehow got hooked.

The rules were short and simple,

No need to write a book.

We all post a Slice daily

Choice is ours to make.

No need to sit and worry

Or in our shoes to quake.

2274 words I’ve written so far

Not counting this of course.

No earth shattering insights

Just ramblings – could be worse.

One other thing is comments

Required –  three a day.

But I just can’t stop at three

I have much more to say.

So, one week is now finished,

More writing ahead.

This journey is not over

There’s still more in my head.

So join me fellow slicers

This journey’s just begun.

Be inspired and enjoy

But mostly just have fun.

  1. Late nights are all spent typing
    Computers glowing bright.
    Balancing teaching too
Onward there is writing to do.

Love this, a perfect way to end a full week and inspire for the days ahead. Thanks.

  3. I am missing the writing and sharing this year, but at least I get to enjoy my favorites all month long.

  4. This is an awesome seven day reflection poem. “The rules were short and simple, No need to write a book”- funny!

  5. Nice poem! 🙂 It feels good to have a week done, but I’m also looking forward to the rest of the month. I, like you, never stop at 3 comments. 🙂

  6. I have been trying to remember not to write a book! Shorter posts, lets the reader read more new posts. It is good to be thinking about writing and possible topics. I think this makes me a better observer.

  7. This . . .”This journey is not over
There’s still more in my head.” and just have FUN!!!!
