A Busy Two Weeks

SOLSC Day 12

Kathy and I keep a calendar on the refrigerator.  As the month changes we change the information on it.  This always helps me know what is ahead for the month.  Usually on Sundays I like to look to see what the upcoming week looks like.  Sometimes it isn’t too bad.  There might just be one or two things scheduled.

I looked at this week and next week. A mistake.

As you can see the 14th is open but the rest of the two weeks have something going every day.  Granted what is happening might just be something like get a haircut or make lemon bars, but it is still something that requires me to be somewhere of do something on that day.

Let’s not forget that each day also includes writing a daily post for the March Challenge as well as commenting on several posts that I read.

The two days that are causing me a little anxiety are the 15th and 22nd.  I will explain more about these days in posts following those events.

In looking at weeks like these I just need to remind myself to take a breath and handle one day at a time.  Everything will fall into place and be taken care of.

  1. I feel ya with the busyness of the next two weeks! Let’s hope we can both get it all done!

  2. I find it so amazing that since we’re retired, we still have some pretty busy weeks. One day at a time.

  3. I’m wondering if it’s the “call” on each of those days. I was starting to feel a little anxious too!

  4. Calendars can cause anxiety, but not having a calendar of events could be worse. After this week, my calendar opens up a lot. Really looking forward to that.

  5. Celebrate ONE free day! You can do this! It will be fine! 🙂 Remember, anything and everything can be a draft or a work in progress!

  6. That’s what I keep telling myself. Who knows, each day might lead to a post to help me finish out the March Challenge.

I hear you so loud and clear, “A mistake.” And this is retirement? Right! Well, no matter what is on my calendar for the next couple hours — It is 66 and the sun is shining, so I’m going out to do some unplanned garden work.

  8. I get that busy schedule! Sometimes, I need to write my name across a calendar square to reserve the day for me. If you’re making lemon bars, send some my way! They are my favorite dessert!

  9. I actually am making lemon bars next Tuesday. If you are in the Hegin s area stop in. I will say that I make a pretty mean lemon bar.☺

  10. Weeks like that get me stressed even before they happen. You are right about just taking one day at a time and breathing deeply. Before you know it, it will all be behind you.

  11. Looks like you’re gonna meet yourself comin’ and goin’!

  12. I *just* listened to a podcast this evening about the value of planning. I’d say it looks like you have things well in hand, even if it doesn’t always feel like it. Planning is the first step to success!

  13. I hear you on that busy schedule! I often have to write LAUNDRY on my calendar in order to get it done.
