Off and Running

It is hard to believe that the March challenge has begun.  When I saw that Stacey published the form for participating in this year’s challenge I didn’t hesitate to sigh up.  I guess the biggest reason was because if I sat ant thought about it chances are pretty good that I would not participate.

This is only my second year to being part of the challenge and I remember the difficulty  had some days last year trying to come up with a new idea each day.  did I want to put myself through that again this year?  I guess so because here I am.  I have also had some really good ideas about topics from some of my FB friends.  I can do this.

There are some questions I did contemplate as I got ready for this to begin this journey.  Here they are along with my answers.

1.  Will I write every day?   Yes.  I made the commitment and barring any unforeseen happenings I will be here.

2.  Will every post have a clear and definite post?  Probably not.

3.  Will I delve into deep philosophical waters sharing my wisdom and offering profound solutions to problems?  Are you kidding?

4.  Will my posts be serious?  Anyone who has been reading my posts knows  that the answer is a resounding “yes”.

5.  Will I have fun even when pulling out what little hair I have left trying to write something?  You betcha.

6.  Will anyone read my posts?  Hopefully, yes.  I’ll have to wait and see.

Well, this is one down.  Only thirty more to go.  Good Luck to all participating in this challenge. I am looking forward to reading many posts.

  1. It is my second year, too. I hemmed and hawed about it, but when the sign up went live, I didn’t hesitate either. I have asked myself some of the same question you’ve written about. It is good to know we are not alone. Good luck and happy writing.

  2. Oh yes I am looking forward to that serious tone you always evoke!! (Ha ha)

  3. Glad you are here and love the questions. What?! you are not going to give us days of great wisdom in your writing? Looking forward to reading your posts.

  4. Your questions and comments here give me hope in knowing that many of us are in the same position/thought process. You have given me encouragement.

  6. Yep, we’ll be here to read and respond…and laugh.

I am so glad I will get to read your “serious” posts this month!

  9. Deep dish or crumb topping on your apple pie? Now that’s a thought you can ponder and share some deep philosophical thinking on. 🙂
I know that every time I visit, I must be fully present and pay attention to every bit of word choice, because you are soooo clever in that regard. Here’s to a fun month!

  10. Loved your answer to #3. Ha!

I look forward to your posts and am glad you said yes!

  11. Loved #5…and as for #6 – for sure!

  12. I LOVE your posts and your questions!!! Keep em coming BoB!

  13. You’re here. And you’re writing. And I couldn’t be happier to see that you are. 🙂 You can definitely come up with something to write about each day — think about recipes (maybe even share one!), watch the cat, document the latest quilting project your wife is working on, or tell us about what you’re reading. I think that this challenge forces us to notice what’s around our lives a little more carefully to find fodder for our writing lives. There’s plenty there. Glad you signed up again.
